About

Back in the early 19th century, a number of families came to Posey County, Indiana, from various parts of the country.  Some came down the Ohio River valley.  Some came north from Kentucky and Tennessee.  Some came all the way from Germany, by way of Pennsylvania.  When they arrived in Posey County, they formed communities, communities that came to be called names like Farmersville, Bufkin, Caborn, and Mount Vernon.   I am a descendant of several of those pioneer families (Allyn, Barton, Bradley, Culley, Grossman, Holbert, Thompson, and Wolfinger). and I am writing this blog to honor their memory.  I also invite others who are to those families to contribute what they have or know, e.g. stories, pictures, etc.
